We Prayed together

We played together

We gathered on holidays

We celebrated each achievement

We helped others together

We walked together

Grief struck us

and brought us to our knees

Chastisement followed

We persevered together

in our belief in God

Successes after such pain

Persevering as our adversaries

wished us harm

Loss of our home

struck us and separated us

Tears fell like rain

We found our way back together

God’s grace is beautiful

We are enjoying life’s blessings!
